About the Site:

In May of 2009 Nerin won a years free hosting with Digiweb.ie.

Thus a small rarely used blog became the base for a bigger picture.

Since first scrambling to try and build something a little bit polished, other folk have joined in and something more to our liking has been created.

Where do we want it to go? Well, we’d like the site to slowly evolve. So far we’ve been very thankful to all the free help and software we’ve been given.

In the future, we mostly would like to see something unique and more functional and easy to use.
We hope people enjoy it, and stick with it, as it changes, and ultimately, becomes a bigger site.

The site is Hosted on Digiweb and currently uses the WordPress engine.

The forums use the MyBB engine.

The site has been helped along by a group of great people and we’re always happy when someone comes on board, be it as a writer, linker, forum user etc.

Nerin:

Site Founder

Nerin began his days on the web many moons ago, but only after joining Boards.ie did he start a real interest in the web.

One of the founding members of the Nocturnal Forum, he came up with the idea of a social forum for insomniacs and other weird night-time folk.

Has worked on a number of forums at one stage or another, including:

The Nocturnal Forum, The Zombie Survival Forum, Palaeontology, Spirituality, Leaving Cert and Boardean Times.

MrFonnen:

Site Writer

MrFonnen is not only a renowned writer, debater, comedian and war criminal. No sir.

He’s also a firm friend of the site and is reluctantly coming into the digital age.

Galvasean:

Site Writer

Galvasean has an avid interest in dinosaurs and palaeontology.

He moderates, funnily enough, the Palaentology forum on Boards.ie

He’s also a stand up comedian, atheist, science-man and may possibly be Nerins father in some weird Japanimation alternate universe.

Slow Motion:

Site Writer

Slow Motion was a great user on Boards.ie and a driving force behind the creation of Boardean Times. He has a big interest in Cryptozoology and Fortean subjects. Expect weird and wonderful news from him as he joins us here.

Futurecrook:

Site Contributor

Futurecrook is a talented musician who supplies Nerin with links to all sorts of interesting things. She also was behind Nerins biggest adventure to date, Australia.

Doctor Doom:

Forum SMod

Nerins brother in arms for a long time, Doom was co-creator of the Nocturnal Forum. He takes care of the forums and wields the banhammer of justice. He also gives great tech advice and tips that have been very helpful to the site.

LD 50:

Forum Smod

Metal, Zombies, explosions. LD 50 enjoys the finer things in life. He protects the forums and keeps an eye on everyone. He also likes the more nerdier stuff, so fits right in with us.

Axwell:

Tech Guy

Nerins personal saviour and sensei of all things tech.

Personally responsible for getting everything working here and teaching Nerin how things work.
