Dinosaur Shark confirmed to be Great White. Also…
The “Dinosaur sized” beast that devoured a swimmer,Lloyd Skinner, in Cape Town has been confirmed as a Great White.
The man that tweeted the incident moments after it happened has been constently misquoted in newspapers.
Since this stuff annoys us (and we often link people to newspaper stories), we found his twitter, and a great blog post by his brother which he linked to.
The actual tweets:
- Holy shit, we just saw a GIGANTIC shark eat what looked like a person right in front of our house in fishhoek. Unbelievable.

The quotes about blood were faked. Lots of newspapers are now caught out by this. Even when Gregg confronted a journo he’d spoken to, the man tried to say he must have mixed the quotes up with someone else.
