Laura and Euna are Free!!!

You may remember i did a story a while back about the two girls captured in North Korea.

I was ridiculously happy to see Laura and Euna (the journalists from Current Tv) step off the plane in America with good ol’ Bill.

The news was live as i had my lunch yesterday.

Couldn’t stop laughing as they constantly referred to Bill as President Clinton. Poor Obama!

Hope they settle back quickly.

 

 

Twitter Down, Public Panics!

Twitter has been down for most of today and twit-addicts are having serious withdrawal symptoms.

I only discovered this today because of some recent Twitter related drama.

TechCrunch says its a denial of service attack.

Twitter had THIS to say.

In other news, i couldn’t log into Facebook for a while. *Shrugs*

Facebook, Twitter and LiveJournal are all down today. Take that social networking.

Im sure there are lots of workers looking very pale and shocked today.

Edit- Facebook says it was attacked too.

 

MrFonnen Joins NerinOnline

It seems the poking worked, MrFonnen has finally got an account on the site.

Now if only he could write an article…

 

Irish Pharmacist Strike pissing me off…

Yes, the pharmacy strike is still ongoing.

Yes, the government are being foolish. Yes, they are messing up a lot.

But for gods sake, look at the elderly people waiting for their meds.

I don’t know if its because i had an ancient Grandfather, but really, cop the hell on.

Look at the people suffering!

Mary Harney is being as bull headed as Brian Cowen usually is and is refusing to back down.

Well do something quick Mary, people are suffering.

 

The whole Thomas Cook thing…Reeeally?!

Well, I’ve no idea whats happening and i’m to bloody busy to sort through every detail.

But really…

Sunday night I was out on the town with FC for her birthday (Happy Birthday Hun!) and we passed the shop.

We peeked inside, saw the workers in sleeping bags etc.

There was another couple present too, but they had something more than a brief interest in what was happening.

They had a message…

“Get a job!!!” The stupid man shouted through the glass.

FC handled this one. “Um they did have jobs, they are doing this for a better redundancy package”.

“What do they expect, its a recession?!” The even more stupid woman replied.

Really??? No…No…REAALLLY?

Its a recession, so everyone should expect to be walked all over?

I see. Aren’t ye a governments dream.
