Irish website Boards.ie made an appearance on RTE1s tv show “Capital D” at 7pm tonight.

The segment showed Tom Murphy (Devore), one of the founding fathers of Boards chatting to MonkeyFudge on a podcast about the site itself, the members and some of the many fine happenings there.

Also making an appearance was Des (Pimping the soccer forum and the Boards team), The No Drama group, etc.

I think i spied Shellyboo and Degsy in there somewhere.

The show should be up on the Rte website soon, so check it out.

The podcast Dev was doing with MonkeyFudge can be found here.

Zodiac Killer : Had a daughter?!

zodiac killer

A carpenter named Guy Ward Hendrickson who died of cancer 26 years ago is alleged to be the notorious Zodiac Killer, but it gets better. The person making the allegations is his daughter.

Deborah Perez claims she has cracked the case of Zodiac, which as left many baffled for years.

zodiac letter

She claims she went with him aged 7 to some of his killings and even stitched the infamous mask.

She called a press conference (and has a documentary coming up) where she made these claims.

There is a bit of a media circus about this, and she has also chosen a disbarred lawyer as her spokesperson (wtf?). I don’t think this will turn anything new out there.

pirates

Yarrrrgh! Swedish Newspapers(DN.se) have done a poll, and the Pirate Party is predicted to have a seat in the EU parliament.

The poll showed that 5.1% of votes would be pledged to TPP, getting them in the EU parliament doors.

Their membership has overtaken The Green Party, and nearly more than half of men over 30 are voting for them.

Support has rocketed for them since the Pirate Bay trial.

Windows 7 still moving along well

windows_7

The new(ish) version of Windows, Windows 7, is developing nicely and may even be ready for Christmas.

Included in 7 will be a more complete internet explorer 8, a media sharing function and an XP feature that will run programs not compatible with Vista in an XP mode.

Microsoft have been criticized for the amount of effort it takes to get and install the operating system.

From what people i know that have tested it have said, its a much better version of Vista, fixing many of the annoying features and speeding up the OS to a much better level.

More info on that interesting XP mode can be found here for the more techy nerds out there.
